While not strictly mandatory for holding, it is highly recommended to migrate your old KNCL to the current KNC. Migration is a straightforward 1:1 process, typically available via the project's interface or supported exchanges.
KNC holders can earn rewards by staking their tokens and actively participating in governance through the KyberDAO. Staked KNC grants voting power, allowing users to vote on various proposals. As a direct incentive for their engagement and contribution to the protocol's direction, active voters receive a share of the network's trading fees, which are often distributed in assets like ETH or KNC.
KyberDAO operates in cycles called "Epochs," which typically span two weeks. KNC holders must cast their votes within these defined Epochs to be eligible for rewards.
