Cyberpunk City is a Web3-based metaverse and massive multiplayer online role-playing game set in a dystopian, futuristic environment. Developed by Cyberdeck Studios using Unreal Engine 5, the project aims to create an immersive open-world experience that blends high-quality graphics with blockchain-driven ownership. The project was originally built on the MultiversX blockchain but has initiated a migration to the Solana network to improve scalability and reach a broader audience. It offers a variety of gameplay modes, including battle royale, team deathmatch, and science-fiction car racing. Players can explore a sprawling urban landscape, participate in cooperative missions like heists, and engage in social activities such as virtual concerts, nightclub parties, and car meets. The ecosystem utilizes a native token, often referred to as CYBER or CYB depending on the network phase. This token serves as the primary currency within the city and is used for several key functions. These include receiving in-game rewards, minting and trading digital assets, paying tournament entry fees, and participating in governance. One unique feature of the project is the ability for token holders to vote for a virtual Mayor, who has specific influences over the city's development. The game is centered around a collection of non-fungible tokens known as Citizens. These are customizable 3D characters that serve as the player's identity in the metaverse. Owning a Citizen NFT grants access to the game and allows players to upgrade their character’s skills and stats. Other digital assets in the game include City NFTs, which represent properties, as well as vehicles, weapons, and even billboards that can be rented out for advertising. Cyberpunk City promotes an Own the Game philosophy. This concept is designed to give players true ownership of their digital belongings, allowing them to rent, sell, or stake their assets to gain utility within the ecosystem. The project also features a unified platform where users can manage their digital profiles, social media connections, and decentralized activities directly from within the game interface without needing external applications. The development roadmap includes several milestones such as alpha demos and closed beta testing. The team behind the project includes co-founders Halil Ibrahim Can and A.
