The system is permissionless, allowing anyone to create an agent or deploy a strategy. However, to maintain accountability within the public marketplace, agents must stake NRX tokens as collateral.

The $NRX token serves four critical roles. First is Bonding, where agents stake tokens as collateral to ensure honest performance. Second is Governance, granting holders the right to vote on protocol upgrades and parameters. Third is Access Gating, as $NRX is required to create agents or access premium, high-level strategies. Lastly, it is used for Task Funding to incentivize the execution of specific tasks. While basic users can deposit funds into vaults without it, $NRX is mandatory for builders and advanced participants.

Bonded Security is a unique safety mechanism where every agent's strategy is backed by a staked bond of $NRX tokens. This ensures that agents have a financial stake in their performance. If an agent fails to execute correctly due to a bug or underperforms significantly, the staked bond is subject to slashing. The slashed funds are then used to compensate the users who were impacted, providing an additional layer of protection and accountability for those utilizing the platform's autonomous agents.
