Klaytn utilizes a hybrid infrastructure designed for robust performance. It comprises a Core Cell Network (CCN) for transaction verification and block distribution, an Endpoint Node Network (ENN) responsible for transaction creation and data processing, and Service Chain Networks (SCN) which operate as independent subnetworks for dApps. The platform employs an Istanbul Byzantine Fault Tolerance (IBFT) consensus algorithm, enabling near-instant transaction finality, typically around 1 second. This architecture allows Klaytn to achieve high throughput, capable of processing up to 4,000 transactions per second (TPS) while maintaining low and predictable transaction fees.

Yes, Klaytn boasts strong compatibility with the Ethereum ecosystem. It is EVM (Ethereum Virtual Machine) compatible and supports all Ethereum London EVM features, effectively achieving "Ethereum equivalence." This compatibility is a crucial feature because it significantly lowers the barrier for developers.
