ZEBI (ZCO) FAQ
What happened to my ZCO tokens during the migration?
In late 2019, Zebi transitioned from the Ethereum network (ERC-20) to its proprietary Zebi Public Blockchain (ZPB). A mandatory token swap was conducted to replace the original ZCO tokens with native ZEBI tokens. This official swap window closed in November 2019. Consequently, any original ERC-20 ZCO tokens that were not migrated by the deadline are no longer supported or tradeable within the current ecosystem.
Is the Zebi (ZCO) project still under active development?
Current evidence suggests that Zebi is a legacy project with very little to no active development. There has been a significant lack of official communication or updates from the original Zebi Data team for several years. While the project may still be listed on various tracking platforms, it is generally considered inactive due to the absence of technical progress, community engagement, and developer activity.
What was the primary purpose and utility of the ZCO token?
Zebi was originally established as a blockchain-based Big Data security provider. Its core product, the Zebi Data Gateway, aimed to secure high-value records such as land titles and educational certificates against tampering and unauthorized access. The ZCO token functioned as a utility asset within this ecosystem, designed to facilitate payments for data transactions and access to the project's Data-as-a-Service (DaaS) APIs.
Are the newer Zebi tokens found on other networks related to the original project?
Users should exercise extreme caution regarding tokens sharing the Zebi name on newer ecosystems like Injective or Cosmos. These appear to be unrelated to the original 2018 Indian data project. Some of these newer entities describe themselves as decentralized stablecoins, whereas the original Zebi never operated as a stablecoin. These may be unrelated DeFi protocols or potential scams using a legacy name to gain credibility.
Who founded Zebi and what is their current involvement?
Zebi was founded by a group of Silicon Valley veterans, including Babu Munagala, who brought experience from major global technology corporations. While the project initially secured high-profile partnerships with regional government entities in India, the leadership team eventually moved on to other ventures following significant market shifts. There is currently no evidence of the original founders actively maintaining the ZCO ecosystem.
Is it still possible to trade ZCO tokens on major platforms?
Trading ZCO is currently nearly impossible on reputable global exchanges. Most major trading platforms have delisted the token due to inactivity and low liquidity. Finding a venue to trade the asset is difficult as liquidity has essentially vanished. Users should be wary of any small platforms claiming to support it, as the lack of market depth makes trading the asset highly problematic.
