Y8U is a decentralized protocol built on the Humans.ai ecosystem focused on digital identity and immortality. Its primary goal is to provide users with data sovereignty over their unique personal traits, such as voice, face, and writing style. Instead of centralized tech entities owning and profiting from this information, Y8U allows users to store their characteristics on-chain as protected data NFTs. This empowers individuals to create AI-driven clones for content creation and metaverse representation while maintaining full control over their digital legacy.

In the Y8U ecosystem, Digital DNA is a self-custodial collection of AI-ready data stored securely on the blockchain. It is composed of three main pillars: high-fidelity voice recordings for speech synthesis, 3D visual data for avatars, and a user's unique knowledge or writing style used to train personal AI assistants. By digitizing these traits, users create a secure digital footprint that can represent them across various platforms, enabling the creation of AI clones that can perform tasks or generate media on the user's behalf.

The Y8U token serves as the essential utility fuel for the network. It is used to compensate AI Miners who provide the computational power required to process raw data into functional AI models. Furthermore, any third party wishing to utilize a user’s Digital DNA, such as a studio wanting to use a specific voice for dubbing, must bid for those rights using Y8U tokens. The token also enables network participation through staking, allowing holders to support the ecosystem and engage in the protocol's specialized consensus mechanism.

Genomic Consensus is a specialized technical framework unique to the Y8U protocol. It is designed to reward AI Miners based on the quality and utility of the digital representations they help create. The mechanism evaluates two primary metrics: Fidelity, which measures how accurately the AI model replicates the original user's traits, and Demand, which tracks how frequently those specific traits are requested by the marketplace. This ensures that the ecosystem prioritizes high-quality, authentic AI clones that provide real value to users and the broader market.

Y8U prioritizes user privacy through a multi-layered security approach. Personal data is stored in decentralized Data Vaults built on IPFS, ensuring there is no central point of failure. Access to this data is governed strictly by smart contracts; no AI miner or third party can access a user’s Digital DNA without explicit cryptographic consent from the owner.
