In contrast, veWASP, which stands for vote-escrowed WASP, is a non-transferable token. It is obtained by locking up WASP tokens for a specified duration and primarily represents enhanced voting power in the protocol's governance, allowing holders to influence critical platform decisions without the liquidity of the base WASP token.

The WASP token has a total supply, which is distributed over a period of 24 months.
