TongtongCoin (TTC) is the native utility coin of the TTChain, a Layer 1 mainnet developed by the Tomato Group. The Tomato Group is a prominent South Korean conglomerate with extensive holdings in media, television stations, and IT affiliates. This backing provides the project with corporate legitimacy and a built-in user base, as TTC serves as the primary currency within the group’s diverse digital and media ecosystem.

Tongtong is a P2P-encrypted messenger that serves as a "Super App" for the TTChain ecosystem. It combines private communication with a cryptocurrency wallet, allowing users to send and receive TTC. A major feature of the app is its commitment to security; private keys and messages are not stored on central servers. Beyond messaging, it acts as a gateway for users to earn rewards and access various decentralized services.

TTC has practical utility through the Tongtong Mall and TicketTong platforms. In the Tongtong Mall, users can browse thousands of products and use their coins to purchase physical goods, often at a discount. TicketTong allows the community to use TTC for buying event tickets. These use cases transition the token from a digital asset to a functional tool for real-world commerce and entertainment services.

To improve the token's economic structure and scarcity, the project team executed a significant supply reduction. Originally, 10 billion TTC were issued, but 9 billion of those tokens were burned. This move reduced the maximum supply to 1 billion tokens. This strategy was designed to stabilize the ecosystem's economy and ensure a more sustainable distribution model for long-term participants and developers on the TTChain.

The ecosystem uses a multi-token model to drive engagement. TTC is the primary utility coin used for payments and trading on exchanges like LBank. TTR (Tongtong Reward) is earned through community activity, such as interacting with content, and can be converted into TTC. TTCO (Tongtong Coupon) functions as a specialized discount voucher that users can apply toward purchases in the Tongtong Mall to reduce costs significantly.
