(USDSC)

USDSC is a fully backed U.S. dollar-pegged stablecoin issued by Startale Group, built on the M0 universal stablecoin platform. It functions as the native digital dollar for the Soneium network, which is Sony’s Ethereum Layer-2. Its design as the default currency for the Soneium ecosystem facilitates various uses such as saving, payments, providing liquidity, and trading within the Startale App.

Every USDSC token is backed 1:1 by short-term U.S. Treasuries. These reserves are held in bankruptcy-remote structures, legally separating them from Startale's balance sheet to protect user assets. Transparency is maintained through the M0 Dashboard, where independent entities monitor reserve levels daily, allowing users to verify collateral composition and proof of solvency at any time. There are no lock-up periods, offering users flexibility to withdraw or move tokens at any time.

Users can obtain USDSC directly through the Startale App by swapping USDC.e or ETH on the Soneium network via the app's internal swap interface. Once acquired, USDSC serves multiple purposes within the Soneium ecosystem, including depositing into the Earn Vault for yield, making payments to others or within "Mini Apps," providing liquidity on Uniswap to earn rewards, and swapping for other assets within the Startale App.

STAR Points are a "Proof of Contribution" reward system designed to recognize user engagement in the Startale ecosystem. These points determine eligibility for future airdrops, exclusive rewards, and priority access to new token launches. Users can earn STAR Points by simply holding USDSC in their wallet, providing liquidity by depositing USDSC into the USDSC/USDC pool on Uniswap (with a minimum requirement of $100 USDSC), or completing various tasks within the Startale App’s Mission Center. A 30-day "cliff" period applies, after which multipliers can increase earnings up to 2x for funds held over 180 days.

The Earn Vault offers a competitive yield, generated from underlying U.S. Treasury Bills. One of the Startale App's distinctive features is sponsored gas, meaning Startale frequently covers transaction fees for in-app activities. This initiative aims to streamline the Web3 experience, making it feel more akin to using a traditional mobile application by alleviating the burden of gas costs for users.

Startale Group is a crucial partner of Sony Block Solutions Labs. Sony Block Solutions Labs is the joint venture responsible for developing the Soneium blockchain. In this partnership, USDSC, issued by Startale Group, serves as the primary institutional-grade stablecoin specifically designed for use within the Soneium network. This collaboration highlights USDSC's foundational role in Sony's Web3 initiatives.
