$RECC is the native utility and governance token for the Real Estate Crypto Crowdfunding protocol, built on the Solana blockchain. It acts as the primary ecosystem asset designed to bridge decentralized finance (DeFi) with real-world real estate assets. By holding $RECC, users can participate in a platform that facilitates the funding of vetted property developments while gaining access to specific ecosystem benefits and voting rights.

The protocol functions as a bridge between property developers and investors. Developers list vetted real estate projects on the platform to seek funding. Investors contribute stablecoins, such as USDC or USDT, to these project pools. In exchange, investors receive Liquidity Provider (LP) tokens representing their share in the specific property fund. Once the project reaches completion or a predetermined milestone, the interest and principal are repaid to the pool and distributed to the LP token holders.

The $RECC token serves several key functions. First is Governance, allowing holders to vote on which real estate listings are approved for the platform. Second is Tiered Rewards, where holding the token can unlock higher yield opportunities. Third, the token is integrated into the protocol’s mechanics, which may include buyback and burn events funded by platform revenue to support long-term ecosystem health. Unlike property-specific LP tokens, $RECC provides platform-wide utility and governance power.

Security is maintained through both technical and legal layers. All real estate projects undergo a rigorous vetting process, including Know Your Business (KYB) checks for developers. On the investor side, Know Your Customer (KYC) verification is mandatory to comply with global financial regulations regarding real-world assets (RWA). Legally, investments are typically backed by physical property collateral and binding agreements. Furthermore, the platform’s smart contracts undergo security audits to protect user funds from technical vulnerabilities.

The platform is designed for accessibility, featuring a low entry barrier with minimum investments typically starting around $100. This allows a broader range of participants to diversify into real estate. Estimated annual returns generally range between 6% and 18%, depending on the risk profile and specific nature of the property project. While some marketing materials mention higher yields for specific risk profiles, these are always subject to the underlying project's success and repayment schedule.

Real estate investments via RECC are tied to physical project cycles, with typical completion windows ranging from 6 to 24 months. Because these are linked to real-world construction and sales, capital is usually committed for the duration of the project. However, the protocol aims to address illiquidity by developing a secondary market where investors can trade their project-specific LP tokens. This would potentially allow participants to exit their positions by selling their shares to other users before the final project repayment date.
