Rayls is a blockchain platform designed to bridge traditional finance (TradFi) with decentralized finance (DeFi). Its primary goal is to enable institutions to tokenize assets securely while ensuring compliance and scalability. It addresses key institutional barriers to blockchain adoption, including compliance (KYC/KYB), privacy, scalability, and cost efficiency. The project aims to unlock significant TradFi liquidity by providing a compliant pathway to DeFi, allowing institutions to tokenize real-world assets (RWAs) like deposits, funds, and credit instruments.

Rayls employs a hybrid blockchain architecture, combining a public Layer-1 (L1) EVM-compatible chain with private, institutional-grade networks and Privacy Nodes. This setup allows banks to maintain privacy and governance within permissioned chains, while also enabling interoperability with the public chain for liquidity and programmability. The public chain facilitates broad DeFi participation with integrated compliance, where every address is linked to a verified identity attestation, and gas fees are predictably pegged to a stable USD value.

The RLS token is the core utility asset powering the Rayls ecosystem. Its primary uses include: Staking, where validators stake RLS to validate transactions and secure the network, earning RLS rewards. Transaction Fees, as RLS is used to pay for all gas fees across both public and private networks. Governance, allowing RLS holders to vote on key decisions via the Rayls Governance DAO. Additionally, RLS supports settlement fees and provides incentives throughout the Rayls network.

Rayls (RLS) features a fixed maximum supply of 10 billion tokens. A crucial aspect of its tokenomics is a deflationary mechanism: 50% of all transaction fees collected across the entire ecosystem are permanently burned. The remaining 50% of fees are allocated to a Network Security Pool, which rewards validators and supports ecosystem development. This burning mechanism is designed to increase RLS scarcity as network adoption and usage grow, contributing to its long-term value proposition.

Rayls was initially developed by Parfin, with governance now transitioning to the newly established Rayls Foundation. The project's credibility is bolstered by successful pilots and partnerships with major financial entities. Notable adoption milestones include pilot programs with the Central Bank of Brazil and significant tokenization deals involving Brazil's largest payment infrastructure. Rayls technology is also actively utilized in trials for CBDC and tokenized-deposit initiatives by Brazil's Central Bank, demonstrating strong institutional engagement.

Rayls aims to become a foundational platform for real-world asset tokenization, bridging the vast liquidity of TradFi with the innovative capabilities of DeFi. Its future success hinges on the stable launch and growth of its mainnet, expanding its ecosystem, and attracting both developers and institutional participants. The mainnet was launched in late 2025. Continued expansion within the institutional blockchain and RWA industry, along with increased network usage from enterprise subnet deployments and RWA issuance, is expected to drive demand for RLS.
