Portal to Bitcoin (PTB) is a decentralized, cross-chain infrastructure designed to connect the Bitcoin network directly to DeFi and other major blockchains like Ethereum and Solana. By using a hub-and-spoke validator network, Portal coordinates peer-to-peer swaps directly between native assets, eliminating the central points of failure associated with custodial bridges.

BitScaler is Portal’s proprietary scaling engine designed to bring high-speed functionality to Bitcoin. It allows the network to handle high-frequency DeFi transactions off-chain while settling them securely on the Bitcoin base layer. This technology significantly reduces transaction costs, offering fees that are much lower than standard scaling solutions, and provides the speed necessary for a smooth trading experience without compromising Bitcoin's underlying security.

The $PTB token is central to the network's operation and offers several utilities. It is used for staking, allowing users to secure the network as validators or Lite Nodes.
