NODLE NETWORK (NODL) FAQ
How does the Nodle Network function?
Nodle is a decentralized physical infrastructure network (DePIN) that utilizes smartphones as "edge nodes" to build a global wireless network for the Internet of Things (IoT). By using Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), your phone detects nearby IoT devices like sensors and trackers, relaying small data packets to their owners via the internet. In exchange for providing this "Proof of Connectivity," participants are rewarded with NODL tokens. The system emphasizes privacy, as the app does not require personal information and all transmitted data is encrypted.
Is Nodle categorized as a "Move-to-Earn" project?
No, Nodle is not a "Move-to-Earn" project. Unlike fitness-based rewards programs that track steps or physical exercise, Nodle follows a "Connect-to-Earn" model. Your earnings are not based on physical activity. Instead, rewards are determined by your smartphone's availability as a node, the density of IoT devices in your vicinity, and the overall geographical coverage you provide to the network.
Why might rewards be low, and how can they be claimed?
Low rewards are typically caused by low IoT device density in your area, battery optimization settings on your phone, or having "Developer Mode" enabled, which can hinder data verification. To receive your rewards, you must navigate to the Missions tab in the Nodle app and manually claim them. Ensure you have a small amount of NODL in your wallet to cover the transaction fees on the ZKsync network, as rewards are no longer sent automatically.
Can I run Nodle on multiple devices simultaneously?
Yes, you can use multiple smartphones to contribute to the network. However, the network is designed to encourage broad geographical coverage rather than high density in a single spot. If more than four nodes are operating in the same H3 tile (a specific geographical area), a reward multiplier penalty is applied to all nodes in that location to prevent over-saturation and encourage users to spread out their coverage.
What is the current status of the migration from Polkadot to ZKsync?
As of January 2026, Nodle has fully transitioned to the ZKsync Era, an Ethereum Layer 2 solution. The official bridge from the legacy Polkadot parachain was permanently closed on December 31, 2025. Technical support for the old chain has ended, meaning any tokens or NFTs not migrated by that deadline are now stranded on the legacy network. Current NODL addresses now follow the Ethereum-style format starting with "0x" and the total supply is capped at 21 billion tokens.
Where can I trade and view my NODL tokens after the migration?
Following the migration to ZKsync, NODL can be traded on LBank, which fully supports ZKsync-based deposits. Additionally, the token is available on various reputable decentralized exchanges within the Ethereum ecosystem. To view your balance, you can use the Nodle app’s ZKsync interface or input your wallet address into any EVM-compatible block explorer. For those looking for long-term options, a staking pool is available on ZKsync for users to lock their tokens and earn rewards.
