Matrixdock Gold (XAUM) is a real-world asset (RWA) token designed to digitally represent physical gold. Each XAUM token is fully backed on a 1:1 basis by one troy ounce of 99.99% pure gold. This gold is certified by the London Bullion Market Association (LBMA), ensuring its quality and standard. It provides a digital, transparent, and accessible way to hold physical gold ownership.

XAUM ensures security through multiple layers of verification. Users can utilize an "Allocation Lookup tool" on the project's website to view specific bar IDs, refinery sources, and vault locations for their gold. The project also undergoes semi-annual independent audits to confirm reserves and employs Chainlink Proof of Reserve (PoR) for real-time, on-chain verification of the gold backing. Furthermore, XAUM is designed to be bankruptcy-remote, with a legal structure that legally separates the gold reserves from the issuer's balance sheet, protecting investor assets.

XAUM tokens can be acquired through two primary methods. For direct primary minting, users must complete KYC on the Matrixdock platform, with a typical minimum investment of 32.148 XAUM, equivalent to a 1kg gold bar. Yes, holders of XAUM tokens retain the right to redeem them for physical gold bars. Redemption services are specifically offered in Hong Kong and Singapore. It is important to note that physical redemption typically involves a minimum weight, often corresponding to standard gold bar sizes, such as 1kg.
