Marquee is a decentralized insurance platform built on Binance Smart Chain (BSC). It aims to empower users to protect their digital assets and earn premiums while providing liquidity. Functioning as a Web3 insurance and options derivatives platform, Marquee offers a robust ecosystem for managing digital asset risks through innovative blockchain technology.

Marquee provides various insurance options, including token price insurance and smart contract insurance, allowing users to hedge against digital asset price fluctuations or security vulnerabilities. The MARQ token has several key use cases within the Marquee ecosystem. Users can stake MARQ in a staking pool to earn high APY, receiving sMARQ in return. In extreme situations, MARQ serves as the fourth layer of user payout after Insurance Premia, the Fund Pool, and Vault funds are exhausted. Additionally, wrapping sMARQ allows holders to receive gMARQ, granting them voting rights to participate in Marquee's governance, enabling a DAO-driven approach to platform development and decision-making.

MARQ is the native token of the Marquee insurance protocol, uniquely backed by a basket of assets in the vault, with each MARQ designed to be backed by one USDT or other stablecoins. The protocol employs a stabilization mechanism where it buys and destroys MARQ from decentralized exchanges if its price drops below one USDT, aiming to support price parity. The initial supply was 2,500,000 tokens, distributed with 10% from pre-mining and 90% from Bond-based sales. For every Bond sold, 4 MARQ tokens are minted and allocated to the purchaser and other distribution channels.
