MBX is the primary public utility token, traded on various exchanges. MBXL (MARBLEX Link) acts as a bridge token, exclusively used within MARBLEX's private chain to facilitate token swaps. gMBX is a game-specific token, pegged 1:1 to MBX. It's used for all in-game transactions across MARBLEX's diverse game portfolio, standardizing in-game currency across titles that previously had individual game tokens.

In July 2023, MARBLEX burned 67.36% (673.6 million) of its original 1 billion token supply. This drastic measure was taken to "optimize tokenomics" by removing tokens not intended for active distribution, thereby effectively reducing potential inflation and stabilizing the token's economic model. Additionally, an auto-burn mechanism is in place: a portion of transaction fees and operational costs (up to 50%) is periodically used to burn tokens, continuously helping to maintain the token's value over time.

MARBLEX transitioned its operations to the Kaia network because Klaytn, its previous underlying blockchain, merged with Finschia to form the new Kaia network. This fundamental infrastructure change requires users to update their RPC settings and wallet configurations to connect correctly to the Kaia Mainnet. This ensures continued access to the MARBLEX ecosystem and its services, reflecting the platform's adaptation to evolving blockchain technology and partnerships.

The "Warp" feature is MARBLEX's official bridge, integrated into the MARBLEX Swap service, enabling seamless transfers of MBX across various blockchains including Kaia, BNB Chain, Aptos, and Immutable zkEVM. To move MBX to Immutable, users must first convert MBX to MBXL, then use "Warp" with a typical 0.5 MBX fee. Immutable zkEVM was adopted to address common blockchain issues such as high gas fees and slow transaction speeds, while also enhancing user onboarding for traditional gamers via the Immutable Passport.

MARBLEX restricts access in specific countries, including South Korea and parts of the US/China, primarily due to local regulations concerning Play-to-Earn (P2E) games. This is a common issue for users attempting to access the service. While MetaMask can be used to view balances on various chains, the official MARBLEX Wallet is required for in-game exchanges and to fully utilize all features of the ecosystem. For games on Immutable zkEVM, the Immutable Passport serves a similar essential role for full utility.

To earn MBX within MARBLEX games, players typically farm an "In-app Currency" first. This currency can then be exchanged for gMBX via the MBX Station, and subsequently, gMBX can be swapped for MBX, usually incurring a 5% trade volume fee designed to keep assets within the gaming economy. For staking, options include MBXL Staking, where tokens are locked for APR rewards, and NFT Staking, allowing users to stake MARBLEX NFTs (like Marblerships) to earn "Adventure" rewards or token yields.
