Together, these features empower the platform to automate and optimize yield generation across various decentralized finance protocols efficiently.

MAK serves as the native governance and utility token for the Makina Finance protocol. Its fundamental role is to secure the platform and enable decentralized governance. By holding and utilizing MAK, participants gain the ability to influence key decisions regarding the protocol's future. The token's utility is centered around providing a mechanism for community members to actively shape the future direction and operational parameters of Makina Finance, ensuring a decentralized and community-driven development path.

MAK holders participate in governance by staking their tokens to mint 'veMAK,' a non-transferable governance token specifically designed to represent voting power within the Makina Finance ecosystem. Holders of veMAK can then use their voting power to weigh in on important protocol decisions. This includes voting on the implementation of new strategies, adjustments to fee structures, setting security parameters, and approving significant protocol upgrades, thereby directly influencing the project's evolution and strategic direction.

MAK stakers, particularly those holding veMAK, receive direct financial benefits from the protocol's operations. They are entitled to a portion of the revenues generated by Makina Finance. These revenues include both the management fees and performance fees accrued across all 'Machines' (vaults) on the platform. This mechanism aligns the interests of token holders with the overall success and growth of the protocol, as their rewards increase with the platform's performance and adoption, fostering long-term engagement.

Makina Finance has actively engaged its community with significant opportunities. The project launched a Point Farming campaign designed to qualify users for an upcoming airdrop, allocating 2.5% of the total token supply to this initiative.
