Skale IMA Bridged USDC is a version of USD Coin (USDC) that has been transferred from the Ethereum mainnet to the SKALE Network via its native IMA (Interchain Messaging Agent) bridge. Unlike native USDC, which is issued directly by Circle, this is a bridged asset representing original USDC locked in an Ethereum smart contract. It maintains a 1:1 value ratio with the original asset, allowing users to use stablecoin liquidity within the SKALE ecosystem.

The most significant advantage is the zero gas fee environment. SKALE chains, such as the Europa and Nebula Hubs, allow users to transfer USDC and interact with decentralized applications without paying traditional transaction fees. This makes it an ideal network for high-frequency trading, micro-transactions in Web3 gaming, and other activities where Ethereum's mainnet gas costs would be prohibitive. Additionally, the network offers near-instant transaction finality.

Users can move USDC to SKALE using the native SKALE Metaport Bridge or the SKALE Portal.
