IceCreamSwap is a multi-blockchain DeFi ecosystem and decentralized exchange (DEX). It enables users to swap tokens, bridge assets across different blockchains, provide liquidity, and earn passive income through yield farming and staking. Initially launched on the Bitgert chain, it has expanded its support to numerous other chains, including CORE, Telos, Base, Shimmer EVM, Binance Smart Chain, XDC, XoDex, Dogechain, and Fuse. IceCreamSwap utilizes Uniswap V3 Smart Contracts for its core operations, having evolved from Uniswap V2.

The ICE token is IceCreamSwap's native and governance token. Its utility includes participating in token sales through the ICEPAD launchpad, generating passive income via staking and farming, and contributing to the platform's deflationary mechanism, which features a buyback. Holders of ICE tokens also have the ability to propose and vote on modifications to the protocol, influencing the platform's future development. The total supply of ICE tokens is capped at 10 million across all supported chains, ensuring controlled circulation.

ICE tokens can be acquired on decentralized exchanges such as PancakeSwap (v2) for those operating on the Binance Smart Chain. Users already on a supported blockchain can directly swap other tokens for ICE on the IceCreamSwap DEX. For users with tokens on a different chain (e.g., USDT on Binance Smart Chain), these assets can first be transferred to the desired chain using the IceCream Bridge, and then swapped for ICE. Additionally, some centralized exchanges, like LBank, offer options to purchase IceCreamSwap.

IceCreamSwap places a strong emphasis on security. In 2023, the platform underwent a comprehensive security audit by CertiK. It benefits from the robust security framework of Uniswap V3 Smart Contracts. The platform has implemented several security enhancements, including a Know Your Customer (KYC) system, additional smart contract audits, and a Token Locker feature designed to prevent rug-pulls and manage selling pressure. A KYC delegation system is also in place to foster trust and safety within the community, particularly on the COREchain.

Users can earn passive income by staking their ICE tokens directly or by providing liquidity to pools and then staking the resulting Liquidity Pool (LP) tokens in farms. Liquidity providers receive a share of trading fees in addition to earning ICE tokens as rewards. Notably, direct staking of ICE tokens on IceCreamSwap does not incur any staking fees or lock-up periods, offering flexibility. IceCreamSwap also offers liquid staking through its StakedCore (SCORE) token on the Core DAO network, providing another avenue for earning.

IceCreamSwap offers several distinctive features to enhance its DeFi ecosystem. These include an AI DEX Aggregator, which aims to provide users with optimal swap rates by scanning liquidity across multiple DEXs and identifying arbitrage opportunities. The platform also hosts ICEPAD, a launchpad for new crypto projects, featuring KYC checks to ensure transparent and secure fundraising processes. A Token Locker feature allows both projects and individual users to lock tokens for a predetermined period, enhancing security and potentially reducing selling pressure. Additionally, a KYC Delegator System builds trust by allowing verified projects to display a KYC badge.
