HatchyPocket is a decentralized intellectual property (IP) ecosystem featuring a collection of over 150 high-fidelity elemental monsters known as Hatchies. Unlike traditional franchises, HatchyPocket is owned and managed by its community through a Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO). Token holders have the power to govern the IP, essentially owning the rights to the franchise. This model allows the community to build and expand a monster-catching universe similar to classic gaming brands but with a decentralized ownership structure.

$HATCHY is the native ERC-20 governance and utility token of the Hatchyverse, with a fixed maximum supply of 1 billion tokens. It serves as the backbone of the ecosystem by enabling governance, where holders vote on IP development, licensing, and treasury allocation. Furthermore, it is the exclusive currency required to mint Gen 2 monster eggs and provides access to future games, upgrades, and specialized features within the expanding HatchyPocket universe.

The primary method for earning $HATCHY tokens is by staking Hatchy NFTs, including both Gen 1 and Gen 2 collections. The project has dedicated 60% of the total token supply to reward NFT holders. Earnings are calculated using a weight-based system where rarity and collection completion play a vital role. For example, while a common card has a base weight, Shiny cards and completed elemental sets or full collections offer massive multipliers, significantly increasing the token rewards for the holder.

HatchyPocket offers a unique commercial rights framework designed to foster community growth. Anyone is permitted to use the Hatchy IP for non-commercial purposes at no cost. For commercial applications, such as indie game development, the project applies a 10% fee on earnings only after the user surpasses $300,000 USD in annual revenue. This approach makes the IP highly accessible for developers and creators, encouraging the growth of the ecosystem without high entry barriers.

The HatchyPocket ecosystem primarily operates on the Avalanche (C-Chain) network, but it also supports the Binance Smart Chain (BSC) through bridging.
