Ethernity Chain has rebranded to Epic Chain (EPIC) to reflect its evolution into a specialized Layer 2 blockchain. As part of this transition, the original ERN token is migrating to the new EPIC token at a 1:1 ratio. This shift moves the project beyond a simple NFT marketplace into a comprehensive entertainment ecosystem built on the Optimism Stack, focusing on gaming, digital collectibles, and the tokenization of real-world assets.

Token holders can migrate through two primary methods. For those holding assets on centralized exchanges like LBank, the swap is typically handled automatically, requiring no manual action from the user. For holders using decentralized wallets, the official Epic Chain migration portal must be used. By connecting their wallet, holders can swap ERN for EPIC peer-to-peer. There is currently no deadline for this one-way migration; once ERN is swapped, it is burned and removed from circulation.

The EPIC token serves as the core utility and "privilege token" for the Epic Chain Layer 2. Its primary functions include governance, allowing holders to participate in voting for DAO proposals, and staking, which enables users to earn rewards through fixed or liquidity pools. Additionally, EPIC is used to pay for gas fees on the network and serves as the medium of exchange for purchasing exclusive authenticated digital collectibles and assets within the ecosystem marketplace.

Authenticated NFTs, or aNFTs, are a specialized type of digital asset verified directly by the original creator, brand, or artist. This standard ensures the authenticity of high-profile collectibles by validating them at the source. This process effectively prevents counterfeit digital goods, providing security for collectors and protecting the intellectual property of global icons and brands involved in the ecosystem, such as Lionel Messi, Muhammad Ali, and Bruce Lee.

The Epic Chain Layer 2 integrates "Ethernity Intelligence," an advanced AI-driven security protocol and Digital Rights Management (DRM) system. This technology is designed to proactively scan for counterfeit assets and protect the intellectual property of partnering global brands. Built on the Optimism Stack, the network also benefits from high-level security while offering significantly reduced energy consumption and faster transaction speeds compared to the Ethereum mainnet.

Stones are non-transferable reward points earned by staking EPIC (formerly ERN) tokens. This unique farming mechanism allows long-term supporters to accumulate Stones over time. These points can then be redeemed for exclusive, curated aNFTs and digital collectibles that are not available for direct purchase on the open market. This system rewards community participation and provides a specialized path for users to acquire rare assets within the entertainment ecosystem.
