AMPMNTA is a liquid staking token (LST) issued by the Eris Protocol for MantaDAO. It represents staked MNTA tokens, addressing the illiquidity of traditional staking. Users deposit MNTA, receive AMPMNTA, and can then use this liquid token in other decentralized finance (DeFi) applications while still earning staking rewards. The Eris Protocol's Amplifier automates the compounding of these rewards, aiming for enhanced yields and tax efficiency within the Cosmos ecosystem.

When users deposit MNTA into the Eris Protocol's Amplifier, they receive AMPMNTA. The protocol then stakes the deposited MNTA with whitelisted validators. Daily, it harvests staking rewards, which may be in various tokens. These rewards are automatically converted back into MNTA and restaked. This continuous auto-compounding process internally increases the underlying value represented by each AMPMNTA token.
