ENDUR.FI STAKED STRK (XSTRK) FAQ
What is Endur.Fi Staked STRK (xSTRK)?
xSTRK is a Liquid Staking Token (LST) that represents your staked STRK within the Endur.Fi protocol. It allows users to earn staking rewards from the Starknet network while maintaining liquidity. Unlike traditional staking, where assets are locked and inaccessible, xSTRK can be traded, transferred, or utilized across various decentralized finance applications. This enables users to maximize their capital efficiency and participate in the ecosystem while still contributing to network security.
Why is the amount of xSTRK I received lower than the amount of STRK I deposited?
This is due to xSTRK being a yield-bearing token rather than a rebase token. Instead of increasing the quantity of tokens in your wallet, the value of each xSTRK token increases relative to STRK over time. Because staking rewards are continuously added to the underlying pool, the exchange rate shifts. Consequently, you will often receive fewer xSTRK tokens than the STRK you deposited, but their total value in STRK remains the same at the time of deposit and grows as rewards accumulate.
How are staking rewards earned and are there any protocol fees?
Rewards are automatically compounded into the value of xSTRK, so there is no need to manually claim them. As the protocol earns rewards from the Starknet network, the exchange rate of xSTRK against STRK improves. While the protocol typically offers 0% fees on deposits and redemptions, a performance fee (approximately 15%) is generally deducted from the staking rewards earned. This fee is used to cover node operator costs and protocol maintenance to ensure the network remains secure and functional.
What is the process and timeline for unstaking xSTRK?
There are two main ways to unstake. Fast unstaking can take between a few hours and two days, depending on whether new deposits are available to match your withdrawal request. For larger amounts or when internal liquidity is low, the process follows the native Starknet unstaking period, which takes 21 days. Additionally, because xSTRK is a liquid token, users can bypass the waiting period by swapping xSTRK for STRK directly on supported decentralized exchanges, although this may involve a small slippage fee.
What is the Season 2 Points Program and how can I use xSTRK in DeFi?
Endur Season 2 is an incentive program where users earn points daily by holding xSTRK or using it in supported DeFi applications. Long-term holders can also benefit from a loyalty multiplier. Beyond simple holding, xSTRK can be used to generate additional yield by supplying it to integrated lending protocols, providing liquidity in xSTRK/STRK pools on decentralized exchanges, or creating leveraged positions. These integrations allow users to earn protocol rewards and DeFi yields simultaneously.
Who developed the protocol and what are the security risks?
Endur.Fi is a collaborative project developed by infrastructure specialists and yield aggregator experts within the Starknet ecosystem. While the protocol's smart contracts have undergone audits to ensure safety, users should remain aware of standard DeFi risks. These include Smart Contract Risk, involving potential vulnerabilities in the code, and De-pegging Risk, where the market price of xSTRK on secondary exchanges could deviate from its underlying value in STRK during periods of extreme market volatility.
