Dtravel is a Web3 vacation rental ecosystem aiming to replace centralized intermediaries with a decentralized, peer-to-peer network. The team includes former executives from major travel and decentralized finance protocols. Unlike traditional platforms that charge high commissions and control all user data, Dtravel is a Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO). It offers significantly lower fees, typically 5% or less, and grants hosts full ownership of their listing data through the Nite Protocol. Community members also have the power to vote on the platform’s future development, ensuring a community-led approach.

The Nite Protocol is the core decentralized infrastructure of Dtravel, acting as a data layer for the vacation rental industry. It uses a specialized language called Dusk to standardize property listings, allowing them to be accessed permissionlessly by any discovery engine or AI agent. This removes the siloed nature of traditional booking sites, where data is locked within individual platforms. It enables a protocol-first approach where listings are portable and truly owned by the hosts rather than a central entity, facilitating decentralized distribution across the entire web.

TRVL serves several key functions: 1) Payments: Using TRVL for bookings unlocks discounts and crypto-back rewards. 2) Staking: Holders can stake TRVL to earn ecosystem rewards and unlock Stay Keys for exclusive accommodation access. 3) Governance: Staked TRVL provides voting power on Dtravel Improvement Proposals (DIPs) via Snapshot. 4) Membership: It acts as a tiered membership token for both hosts, to lower platform fees, and guests, to access premium features. In the future, it will also act as the utility token for cross-platform transactions.

Dtravel utilizes a Stake-to-Boost model offering both flexible and locked staking options. Users who opt for longer lock periods, such as 6 to 12 months, are eligible for higher APRs and larger multipliers for ecosystem rewards. Additionally, the project features reward seasons where community members can earn distributions based on platform activity, such as completing bookings or contributing to listing growth. Rewards are typically claimed manually via a dedicated dashboard and may be subject to specific vesting periods depending on the campaign.

Initially launched as an ERC-20 token on the Ethereum network, TRVL has since expanded to the Base and BNB Chain to provide significantly lower transaction fees for travelers and hosts. TRVL is available for trading on major global exchanges, including LBank, as well as various decentralized exchanges. Users can manage the token through compatible Web3 wallets to book stays directly. These payments are peer-to-peer, meaning funds go directly to the host's smart wallet, bypassing the need for a centralized processor.

Dtravel has partnered with leading technology firms to develop Sensei AI, a discovery engine that matches travelers to properties based on moods and profiles rather than just dates. The 2026 roadmap focuses on Decentralized Distribution, allowing third-party applications and AI agents to pull property listings directly from the Nite Protocol. TRVL acts as the utility token for these cross-platform transactions, facilitating a seamless, decentralized search and booking experience across a global network of independent travel applications and discovery tools.
