CryoDAO is a decentralized collective, specifically a BioDAO, focused on funding and advancing high-impact research in cryopreservation, biostasis, and cryobiology. Its core mission is to solve "biological death" by enhancing the ability to preserve and eventually revive biological systems. As a pioneer in the Decentralized Science (DeSci) movement, CryoDAO operates outside traditional academic and corporate gatekeepers, allowing a global community to govern the future of life-extension technologies. It is an integral part of the Bio.xyz ecosystem, connecting biotech innovation with decentralized governance.

CryoDAO was co-founded by a group of prominent longevity experts and entrepreneurs, including Kai Micah Mills, Dr. Emil Kendziorra (of Tomorrow Bio), and Vincent Weisser. The project operates within the Decentralized Science (DeSci) sector. This field utilizes blockchain technology to manage and fund scientific research through community governance rather than relying on centralized institutional funding.
