Connect Financial differentiates itself by offering a true crypto-backed credit card rather than a standard debit card. Most crypto cards require users to sell their assets for fiat before spending. In contrast, Connect Financial allows users to use their cryptocurrency as collateral for a revolving line of credit. This enables holders to retain ownership of their digital assets and benefit from potential market movements while accessing immediate liquidity for daily spending.

The CNFI token serves as the foundation for the platform’s Membership Tiers. By holding or staking the token, users unlock various tiers ranging from Silver to the elite Black card. Benefits scale with the tier and include higher loan-to-value ratios for credit limits, significantly reduced transaction fees, and lower interest rates. High-tier members also gain access to exclusive rewards, airport lounges, and bespoke partner services like private jet access.

The project utilizes a unique loan feature where users can borrow up to 65% of their digital asset value in fiat or stablecoins. A critical advantage is the commitment to "zero reuse of collateral," meaning the platform does not engage in rehypothecation. This ensures that user assets are not re-lent or traded. Once the credit line is used, members can settle their monthly statements using stablecoins, traditional currency, or earned reward points.

Connect Financial employs Multi-Party Computation (MPC) and air-gapped cold storage to safeguard custodial assets. The project is registered as a Money Services Business (MSB) with FINTRAC in Canada and maintains compliance with SOC 1, SOC 2, and PCI-DSS standards. Additionally, the project warns users to be vigilant against SMS phishing scams that misuse the CNFI name, reminding the community that official communications never request private keys or seed phrases.

Connect Financial has secured a cross-border issuance license with Visa, enabling the potential rollout of services in over 130 countries. While the waitlist is global, the primary focus for card shipping includes the USA, Canada, and Europe. The project collaborates with regulated partner banks and BIN sponsors to ensure all card issuances meet local financial regulations, providing a seamless bridge between Web3 assets and the global Visa acceptance network.

CNFI tokens are available on prominent global digital asset exchanges and decentralized platforms across the Ethereum and Arbitrum networks. The ecosystem recently expanded to the TON network via a community airdrop intended to reward early participants.
