POINT tokens serve as a crucial interim mechanism leading up to the official launch of the primary $BLACK token. Their main purpose is to entitle holders to a share of the protocol's revenue, effectively providing an early stake in the project's success. Significantly, POINT tokens can be exchanged for $BLACK tokens once they are launched. This system allows early contributors and engaged community members to accumulate future value and a claim in the protocol's long-term governance and utility before the main token distribution.

Users can qualify for the $BLACK token airdrop through two main engagement methods. Firstly, by staking INJ tokens and delegating them to the Black Panther validator. Secondly, by depositing funds into one of the protocol's vaults and subsequently staking the resulting LP (Liquidity Provider) tokens. In both scenarios, points accumulate over time based on the user's participation, and these accumulated points can later be claimed. As of January 2024, the team had not announced a specific snapshot date or any required INJ staking amount.
