BeamSwap is a decentralized finance (DeFi) hub and Automated Market Maker (AMM) built on the Moonbeam parachain. It utilizes Moonbeam’s Ethereum compatibility and low gas fees to provide a scalable trading environment. BeamSwap distinguishes itself by offering more than just token swaps; it features an integrated bridge, a project launchpad, advanced limit orders, and a "Gas Pump" tool that helps users obtain native tokens for transaction fees.

GLINT is the primary utility token of the BeamSwap ecosystem used for trading and liquidity. stGLINT is a non-transferable, escrowed version of the token introduced in V3 to replace the previous SHARE token. By staking GLINT to receive stGLINT, users gain access to protocol rewards and governance. Existing holders of the legacy SHARE token can migrate their assets to the new system through the migration tool on the BeamSwap dashboard.

Converting stGLINT back to liquid GLINT requires a vesting period to manage supply. If a user chooses a 15-day minimum vesting period, they receive only 50% of their GLINT, while the other 50% is permanently burned. To receive the full 100% of the tokens, users must wait for a 90-day vesting period. Early redemption before the 90-day mark always results in a partial burn of the tokens being un-staked.

Participants earn "Real Yield" by staking their GLINT tokens to obtain stGLINT, which can then be allocated to specific staking pools. These pools distribute a portion of the protocol's earnings, generated from DEX trading fees, back to the stakers. Rewards are typically paid out in GLMR or other partner tokens and are available to claim on every block. The yield is directly tied to platform trading activity and total participation.

GLINT is available for trading on decentralized platforms like the BeamSwap DEX and on centralized exchanges such as LBank. To solve the common issue of users having assets but no GLMR for gas fees, BeamSwap provides the "Gas Pump" feature. This allows users to convert bridged assets like USDC or ETH into GLMR for transaction costs without requiring an initial balance of native Moonbeam tokens to start.

The upcoming roadmap focuses on scaling the ecosystem through the release of a new liquidity router for better pricing and the launch of Syrup Pools 2.0 for enhanced stGLINT rewards. The project is also revamping its incubator via Launchpad 2.0 and implementing a comprehensive UI overhaul. Furthermore, users can track the protocol's deflationary progress, including fee-based burns and early unstaking penalties, through the dedicated Burn Dashboard.
