The primary utility of the CHIP token was to allow users to play games within the Algo-Casino. Beyond gameplay, CHIP holders could stake their tokens to "become the house," which enabled them to share in the casino's profits. Additionally, CHIP could be used for direct payments, sending to others, and for earning yield through lending or other financial products. The project also aimed to expand the ecosystem by inviting applications to leverage CHIP in innovative ways. The entity behind Algo-Casino Chips was registered with Companies House, and Cathal Gallagher was identified as the CEO, indicating an effort towards transparency and accountability. The project also provided incentives for liquidity providers, particularly those on Tinyman. The total and maximum supply of CHIP tokens was established at 1 billion. It is important to note that the Algorand Casino project, which utilized Algo-Casino Chips (CHIP), officially ceased operations and closed its doors on June 30th, 2025.
