Aave v3 DAI, often referred to as adai, is a cryptocurrency token integral to the Aave V3 protocol, which is a decentralized non-custodial liquidity market. Aave allows users to participate as suppliers and borrowers of various crypto assets across multiple blockchain networks. When a user deposits DAI (a stablecoin pegged to the US dollar) into the Aave protocol, they receive an equivalent amount of adai. This adai token is interest-bearing, meaning it accrues interest in real-time directly in the user's wallet as the underlying DAI is loaned out to borrowers. The adai token is designed to maintain a 1:1 peg with the value of the deposited DAI. Adai can be freely stored, transferred, and traded. Supply and Borrow Caps: These risk management parameters limit the total amount of each asset that can be supplied or borrowed, protecting the protocol from excessive exposure to any single asset and helping to mitigate potential exploits. Multi-chain Deployment: Aave V3 is deployed across numerous blockchain networks, with a "Portal" feature enabling cross-chain liquidity. The Aave protocol operates on open-source smart contracts and utilizes a non-custodial liquidity model, meaning users retain control of their funds, which are held within these smart contracts.
