kHYPE is a liquid staking token (LST) designed for HYPE, the native token of the Hyperliquid blockchain. It offers users a flexible way to earn staking rewards on their HYPE holdings. When users stake their HYPE tokens through the Kinetiq protocol, they receive kHYPE in return. This kHYPE token is designed to automatically accumulate staking rewards, which translates to its value increasing against HYPE over time. Kinetiq employs an autonomous system, StakeHub, to strategically delegate the staked HYPE to various high-performing validators within the Hyperliquid network. This process is optimized for maximizing staking yield and effectively reducing potential risks associated with validator selection and management, making the staking process efficient and hands-off for users.
Staking HYPE directly typically involves locking up tokens for a specified period and requires active management, such as selecting and monitoring individual validators. In contrast, kHYPE offers a more flexible approach. Users receive a liquid token that accrues staking rewards automatically, without the need for manual intervention in validator selection or delegation.
