Beets is a fork of the Balancer V2 protocol and has undergone security audits by firms like Trail of Bits. The code is open-source, and the project has a established history on the Fantom network without major exploits, demonstrating a commitment to platform safety.
To migrate, users must bridge their legacy tokens from the Fantom network to the Sonic network. This process generally requires users to break old staking positions, bridge the assets, and then re-stake them on the new Sonic-based platform to align with the updated protocol infrastructure.
Unlike traditional single-sided staking, Beets uses an 80/20 weighted pool consisting of 80% BEETS and 20% stS. This model is designed to ensure the governance token maintains deep liquidity within the protocol while still allowing users to earn rewards and participate in the ecosystem's growth.
maBEETS uses a "Reliquary" system where rewards and voting power increase the longer you hold your position, rather than using fixed-time locks.
