Wikipedia co-founder Jimmy Wales said this week that while Bitcoin is unlikely to collapse to zero, it is also unlikely to become the dominant form of money in the future.

A week after announcing its ambitious new blockchain “Zero,” Bryan Pellegrino, Co-Founder and CEO of LayerZero, has stepped in to address growing speculation around the role of ZRO. His message was direct: there will be no new token for Zero and ZRO is the only asset.

Benjamin Cowen, CEO of Into the Cryptoverse, issued a warning that most altcoins should and likely will go to zero. The analyst posted on X that traders should “stop believing in the alt season just because some guru told you it would happen.” Cowen characterized the cryptocurrency asset class as requiring cleansing of “useless garbage” with midterm years providing ideal conditions for this process.

Countries known for low or zero cryptocurrency taxes are entering a new phase of global transparency. Many of these jurisdictions have committed to the OECD’s Crypto-Asset Reporting Framework, which is set to roll out in 2027. The framework expands cross-border reporting without directly changing national tax rates.

Shiba Inu declined more than 8.5% in a recent period, with its price falling to $0.000009351 (at the time of writing, it jumped to around $0.000009609).
